Kyrie Irving is one of the most polarizing players in the NBA. He has been to the NBA playoffs six different times and to the NBA Finals three times where he also won his only championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite being on winning teams for most of his career, Irving is not a player without blemishes. He doesn’t have a great reputation as a player off the court, and one thing that is always attached to him is how he destroys any team he goes to.

Irving has been on four different teams in his entire career, and his recent tenure with the Brooklyn Nets was marred by controversy and surely didn’t end well. Though Irving got a fresh new start with the Dallas Mavericks, the 30-year old star continues to be on the receiving end of some tough criticism.

Now appearing in a Twitch stream, Irving spoke at length about the criticism that he has faced over the course of his career.

“It’s 15 guys on the team and I’m the one cancer in the room. That’s what it’s portrayed as…these older, bitter gentlemen and women keep my name in their mouths every day.”
