LeBron James Casts Doubt On Future With The Lakers: “I Know What I Can Bring To Any Ball Club With The Right Pieces”

Things are just not looking bright for the Los Angeles Lakers right now. They’re seven games under .500 and are the third-worst team in the Western Conference with a 14-21 record. The team has too many guards, not much length, and has been missing their best defensive player in Anthony Davis.

LeBron James has been putting up numbers for the Lakers, averaging 27.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game on 49.7% shooting from the field. However, LeBron’s best efforts haven’t been enough to mask their deficiencies and get them out of the slump they are now in.

At this point, LeBron has to ask himself whether it’s still worth staying with the Lakers or he’s better off calling it quits and joining a different team in the near future. After their recent loss against the Miami Heat, it seems like LeBron has plans to lean on the latter.

Per Lakers Daily:

“I don’t wanna finish my career playing at this level from a team aspect. I still want to compete for championships. I know what I can bring to any ball club with the right pieces.”

“I wanna win and give myself a chance to win and still compete for championships. That’s always been my passion…my goal. Once you get there and know how to get there, playing basketball at this level just to be playing basketball is just not in my DNA anymore.”
