LeBron James Congratulated LaMelo Ball On His Historic Feat

The Charlotte Hornets aren’t contending anytime soon, but they can look forward to their future as they got a promising young player in LaMelo Ball who could potentially help turn the tides around and bring in some identity for the franchise.

Last night, at the exact age of 19 years and 140 days, LaMelo Ball became the youngest player in NBA history to register a triple double. Ball finished Saturday’s win over the Hawks with 22 points (9-of-13 FG), 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, impressing his head coach, James Borrego:

“He gets it. More than anything, he gets it. …,” Borrego said. “So the mindset is there and that’s going to carry him throughout his entire career.”

But his coach wasn’t the only one praising him after the game, as even LeBron James congratulated Ball for his accomplishment.
