LeBron James’ Investment In Blaze Pizza Led To Revenue Rising From $600,000 To $400 Million

Around 60% of NBA players are financially broke within 5 years of them retiring from basketball. This would be for multiple reasons; bad investments, poor financial choices, reckless spending, hiring the wrong agents/financial advisors, being unwise and making irresponsible decisions with their money and many more.

While this is unfortunate, not everybody can say the same, as plenty of NBA players have made smart financial decisions and investments in order to allow their money to grow, rather than shrink.

One of them is LeBron James, who recently became the first player to become a billionaire while still actively playing.

James not only has a lifetime $1 billion agreement with Nike, an owns part of Beats by Dre headphones, in 2011, the four-time champion invested $6.5 Million for a 2% share in English Premier League Club, Liverpool FC. This investment more than quadrupled in value with a $35 Million evaluation today.

But LeBron’s best investment might be Blaze Pizza. In 2012, of which LeBron bought about a 10% stake for a million dollars. That investment has grown incredibly in the years since, as the company has become a nationwide chain. Blaze Pizza grossed over $400 million in revenue in 2019.
