LeBron James Wants To Play Long Enough To See The Floor With LeBron Jr.

LeBron James is a freak of nature. He’s in his 16th year in the NBA, still hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down and arguably still is the best player in this league at age 33.

But when you think about the NBA average (which James clearly is no part of), the question of a possible retirement often is the elephant in the room for players in their mid-thirties. LeBron though has no plans of retiring before 2025. That’s when his son, LeBron James Jr., who is in the eighth grade right now, could play in the NBA. That’s what James told Tim Ferriss in his podcast.

“I would love to see the floor with my son. My son is in the eight grade now. If he continues on the path that he’s on right now, he could possibly be in the NBA in 5-6 years. So that would be an unbelievable moment for not only myself, but for my family, for everybody. So we’ll see. Obviously taking care of the body is No. 1, and we will continue to do that. But more importantly, taking care of the mind. If your mind is not fresh, then your body will fall at the wayside.”
