LeBron’s Former Teammate Channing Frye Believes Victor Wembanyama Is Already The Greatest Prospect In NBA History: “Not Even Close”

The NBA draft is still about a season away, but fans and pundits are already setting their sights on the 7-foot-4 big man Victor Wembanyama. The French standout is the projected No.1 overall pick and is highly regarded as a franchise-changing NBA talent.

Perhaps the most hyped prospect since former No.1 overall pick LeBron James, Wembanyama is currently playing for Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 where he averages 22.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game on 50.8% shooting from the field.

A talent like Wembanyama is basically unheard of. Now, former NBA power forward and LeBron’s former teammate Channing Frye is already suggesting that Wembanyama is the greatest prospect in NBA history.

“He’s the greatest prospect in the history of basketball for the NBA,” Frye said. “It’s not even close. There has never been a created player by God, whatever God you believe in or none at all, that has come from the heavens, that has made a player that No. 1, his teammates love and appreciate. When he falls on the ground, they run and go get him. He’s a good kid. He’s personable. He’s not injury-prone at that size, and he is an absolute dog on the defensive end.”
