Metta World Peace Admits That Stopping LeBron James Was A Nearly Impossible Task For Him

Speaking of the hardest players to guard in the NBA, LeBron James is one of the players who often headlines those conversations. Resume-wise, there’s no question as LeBron holds the most assists by a forward in NBA history and is currently number three on the all-time scoring list.

LeBron has long asserted his dominance as an offensive player, and taking to task to shut him down may be an impossible challenge for many players. Metta World Peace, who had a number of matchups against LeBron, is one of those players who can attest to this.

In his 16-year NBA career, World Peace was someone who caused problems to any offensive player in the NBA. However, there were many occasions where it was the opposite, just as the times when he had to guard LeBron James.

“He [LeBron] was one of the few guys that I literally couldn’t stop when I wanted to,” World Peace said. “I had maybe a couple good games, but he was one of the guys I definitely didn’t have his number. Some people say I did, but I just don’t see it.”
