Michael Jordan Donates $7 Million To Build Medical Clinics

 

The Charlotte Hornets’ second-largest shareholder and greatest player in NBA history, Michael Jordan, decided to give back to the community big time.

The 6-time NBA champion decided to help people in need, donating an insaneĀ $7 million to help fund medical clinics in ‘at-risk areas’ of Charlotte.

Hornets owner Michael Jordan is donating $7 million to launch medical clinics that he hopes will help at-risk communities in Charlotte.

It’s the largest philanthropic donation ever by the former NBA champion.

The donation will fund two Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Clinics, which are projected to open in 2020.

With seven million dollars, you can impact a lot of lifes. According to Jordan’s spokesperson Estee Portnoy, MJ was motivated by a recent study revealing that poor children in Charlotte have the worst odds of the top 50 cities in the US to get out of poverty.
