Mike Scott Is Disappointed About NBA’s ‘List Of Social Messages’ Allowed On Jerseys, Calls It A ‘Bad Miss’

NBA players loved it, when it was revealed that players will have the option of replacing their last name on their jerseys with a statement on social justice when the NBA season resumes on July 30, in Orlando.

But ever since the NBA has put out a list of social messages that can be put on jerseys, basically not allowing players to choose a message or name of their liking, things have changed.

Among others, Mike Scott is mad about the reglementation. The Sixers forward said that players being given a list of names and phrases they are allowed to replace their name with was a “bad miss”.

Per ESPN:

“They gave us some names and phrases to put on the back of jerseys. That was terrible. It was just a bad miss, a bad choice. They didn’t give players a chance to voice our opinions on it; they just gave us a list to pick from. So that was bad, that was terrible.

I’m all about just doing, instead of saying and posting, or putting something on the back of your jersey. I don’t think that’s going to stop anything, you know?”
