NBA Executive Teases Kevin Durant Going To The Los Angeles Lakers: “I’m Assuming There’s Some Sort Of Agreement With Kevin”

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets are two teams that have been falling short of expectations this season. The former currently stands with a 2-8 record, while the latter boasts a 4-7 record. It may be early in the season, but it’s obvious that both teams have to figure something out before things get even uglier.

It wasn’t long ago when fans were anticipating a Lakers-Nets Finals matchup, but none of these two teams really came close to reaching that stage. Now, it seems that fans and pundits alike are now expecting a major roster change from both teams amid their shaky start.

In this sense, one NBA executive teased a potential Lakers-Nets trade involving two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant. Talking to Sam Amick of The Athletic, the NBA executive revealed Brooklyn’s stance on a potential Durant trade and how the Lakers could become a possible trade destination.

“I’m assuming there’s some sort of agreement with Kevin. Like, ‘Look, if you want to move, we’ll move you. And we’re not going to move you to New Orleans and we’re not going to move you to Sacramento and we’re not going to move you to Indiana.’ So if the best Brooklyn can do is the Lakers, then if I was the Lakers, that’s what I’d be waiting on.”
