‘NBA Jam’ Creator Reveals That The Game Was Programmed To Screw The Bulls When Playing Against The Pistons

On their way to back-to-back NBA titles in 1989 and 1990, the Pistons were an obstacle that Jordan and the Bulls couldn’t clear. Then, after being eliminating from the playoffs by the Pistons for three straight years (1988, 1989, and 1990), the Bulls flipped the script and were able to get the upper hand in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals. Their rivalry ran deep and the heated matchups between the two teams went down in history.

How deep their rivalry actually ran can be seen by playing NBA Jam! When Mark Turmell, an avid Pistons fan, developed NBA Jam in the early 1990s, he put in the most perfect easter egg for the Bulls-Pistons rivalry.

Turnell revealed that if you play with the Bulls against the Pistons and take a last second shot, you will always miss. Boomshakalaka!
