NBA Twitter Accuse Lakers Of Tampering After Report Reveals LeBron, AD, And Westbrook Met Before Trade

This past Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

While unlike most trades, Westbrook’s arrival in L.A. raises perhaps more questions than it answers on the surface, it still caused a lot of noise in the NBA universe.

A different question that is being asked right now, is if the Lakers will get hit with tampering penalties again, because Westbrook met with LeBron James and Anthony Davis two weeks ago at LeBron’s house to discuss the possibility of playing together.

Per L.A. Times:

“They talked about putting their egos aside and playing as one in their quest to bring the Lakers another NBA championship. Westbrook talked about how his only intention was winning and coming back home to Los Angeles to become a champion.”

Upon seeing that the three met weeks ago, fans immediately complained that the Lakers got away with tampering and called for the league to fine them.
