NBA Twitter Blasted Kyrie Irving For Telling Biden To ‘Do His Job’ And Free Brittney Griner, After He Sat Out Most Of Last Season

Brittney Griner has now been in a Russian prison for almost 250 days, and according to her lawyer, she’s ‘increasingly anxious’ about her chances of being freed in a prisoner swap, which has led to major emotional struggles.

This is also why Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving now directed an emotional plea to U.S. President Joe Biden to bring home Griner.

“I appreciate us being able to share this floor together, all of us as brothers. But the big picture that’s going on in the world is free our sister, Brittney Griner, please. Please, POTUS, do your job. Everybody do your job. Please bring our sister home. And we wouldn’t be doing our jobs to the best of our ability if we didn’t stand on what we believe in.”

Irving’s statement however was met with heaps of criticism. Especially the ‘POTUS, do your job. Everybody do your job’ part left a nasty taste in the mouth of NBA fans, due to Kyrie being the one who wasn’t doing his job last season.
