NBA Twitter Isn’t Buying Steve Kerr’s Toe Injury Explanation For Draymond Green’s Absence
The Golden State Warriors are banged up at the moment. Stephen Curry is still injured, so are Alfonzo McKinnie and, since yesterday, Draymond Green. After the team’s blowout loss against the Rockets, Steve Kerr said that the team was banged up, both physically and spiritually. The Warriors have lost two straight now and the Kevin Durant vs Draymond Gree altercation seems to still be hovering over the team.
While Kerr told the media before last night’s game that Green will be sidelined with a toe injury for the next couple of games,
“We decided to give him some time off. Don’t know how long it’ll be. The toe is lingering.”
people have a hard time believeing that this actually is the case. To be fair, the timing is definitely curious. Twitter agrees:
This doesn’t sound like a real injury to me but a way to let the feud between Draymond and KD fade. https://t.co/NISHBfnCdx

We’ve already seen players out this season with “injuries” and “illnesses” in the midst of internal drama surrounding those players, who were later traded/waived, so because of that I don’t believe it’s just a “lingering toe injury” with Draymond
