New York Knicks Could Face Bidding War With Los Angeles Lakers To Keep Derrick Rose

Before his injuries, Derrick Rose was one of the most feared offensive players in the association, and now remains a solid fan favorite throughout NBA fan bases. I believe NBA fans want him to succeed so badly because of what he’s been through. I think it’s fair to say that Rose’s struggles throughout his career are relatable to the struggles individuals face in their everyday life.

No matter what situation we are faced with in life, we always have to look for a way to fight, and NBA fans sympathize with the journey Rose has undertaken in his career so far. It’s the ability of seeing someone overcome a difficult situation and come back that makes him a feel-good player around the association.

Not many players would have had the fight in them to continue their career after four knee surgeries, and eye procedure and surgery on the elbow, but Rose always came back.

Due to him having played a great season, being a key figure in the Knicks’ success – he even helped turnaround their season and helped them clinch a playoff spot for the first time in six years – one NBA executive revealed that the Knicks, who would love to keep Derrick Rose on their roster, might have to fight off competition – namely the Los Angeles Lakers – to do so.

“The Knicks would absolutely love to bring Rose back for another year or two. He was a perfect fit and Tom Thibodeau would like to keep him on the roster. However, there will be plenty of other suitors, including the Lakers, who will be looking for a new point guard with Dennis Schroder leaving town. L.A. is a serious threat to land Rose.”
