New York Knicks Left Trailing In Their Wake By The Boston Celtics

It is truly remarkable to think that the New York Knicks are in the midst of one of the longest barren streaks in their own rich and fabled NBA history, having last won the NBA championship in 1973.

The subsequent 50 years have been traumatic for all associated with the Knicks, with plenty of other franchises across the NBA and America reveling in their success and in return, the relative misfortune endured by the Knicks.

Foreseeing a seismic shift in the Knicks fortunes in 2023 looks to be as yet, a little far fetched, with improvements at Madison Square Gardens being measured steadily, not instantaneously.

Languishing in 10th place in the Eastern Conference table would surely not have been the start to the season all Knicks fans would have hoped for.

Having the likes of RJ Barrett, Derrick Rose and Jalen Brunson in their roster certainly gave the New York Knicks a renewed sense of optimism heading into the campaign but once again, they appear to be well off the pace when it comes to clinching titles.

By contrast, the Boston Celtics have been tearing up the Eastern Conference this season and they look to be the side to beat in the NBA title hunt.

Losing out in the NBA Championship final last year appears to have really hurt the Boston Celtics and they are playing with the bit between their teeth this term.

Having the British Royal Family in the crowd in recent weeks is indicative of where the Celtics are at currently and their global appeal is seriously hot.

2008 was the last time the Boston Celtics managed to lift the NBA Championship title and whilst going all the way is the ultimate aim for every side, the Celtics do look to have the credentials this term.

At +550 with NY Caesars sports promo deal, the Boston Celtics are the frontrunners to taste NBA Championship glory in 2023, leaving old foes New York Knicks floundering in comparison.

Competition for the title for the Celtics comes in the form of many teams and few are as tried and tested as the Golden State Warriors.

The defending champions do tend to come good when it matters and Steph Curry and co have certainly been improving in recent weeks.

Playing in the Western Conference always adds a sense of intrigue to the battle between east and west but at +750, the Golden State Warriors should be bang in the hunt again this season.

Having one star player can propel sides into contention in the NBA and the likes of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Dallas Mavericks can never be discarded as a result.

Giannis Antetokounmpo will be spearheading the Bucks, with Luka Doncic doing the same for the Mavericks and at +1000 and +2500 respectively, both sides should be in the mix come the playoffs next term.
