Next Bidding War? Luka Doncic Is A Sneaker Free Agent

We’re about to face the next bidding war between all of the major athletic apparel brands.

Remember when Adidas and Nike competed in a bidding war after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s rookie footwear and apparel endorsement contract with Nike had ended?

Adidas may have sent Antetokounmpo a truck filled with sneakers, including Yeezys, but Giannis ended up signing a multi-year deal with Nike nonetheless.

Then, earlier this summer, when Zion Williamson was eligible to sign his first professional deal, another bidding war ensued. Zion eventually ended up signing with Jordan Brand.

Now, the third bidding war is on the horizon, as Luka Doncic has reportedly become a free agent on the sneaker market.

Per The Dallas Morning News, Luka said:

“Yeah, I’m a free agent now. So we’ll see what we do.”

“For me, it’s so important because, as you know, I love shoes. I have so many shoes. It’s very important, this deal.

First of all, if the shoe is good for my feet, to have a long career. But, yeah, the look, too.”
