Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka dominated the headlines this past offseason, after it was revealed that the 45-year old head coach had an inappropriate relationship with a female Celtics staffer. Due to this and among other team violations, Udoka is currently suspended for the entire 2022-23 NBA season.

This eventually led to Udoka and Nia Long ending their 13-year relationship.

Now, Udoka’s former fiancée broke her silence on the scandal and put the Boston Celtics on blast for making a private situation available to the public. Long believes things could have been handled a different way.

Via The Cut:

“The Celtics made a choice to make my family business public, and I don’t understand why. It could’ve all been handled internally. I do understand why, but I can’t talk about it. Maybe one day I will. You know, fear drives stupidity, and I’ll leave that right there. I’ve learned that I’m stronger than I ever thought I was.”
