Patrick Beverley Says Russell Westbrook Has Been His Best Friend Ever Since His Trade To Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers raised eyebrows last month, when they decided to send Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson to the Utah Jazz in exchange for defensive-minded combo guard Patrick Beverley.

It’s no secret that Beverley and Russell Westbrook have had their fair share of heated battles and smack-talking ways. Back then, NBA fans and pundits couldn’t help but speculate how the two players could co-exist if a Westbrook trade doesn’t push through.

Turns out way better than expected. Patrick Beverley reportedly told ESPN that Westbrook has been his “best friend” on the Lakers ever since he was traded to Los Angeles.

According to Beverley, him and Westbrook both are first in the practices facilities, as they come in to train before 7 a.m. and spend time in the gym together.
