Patrick Beverley Takes Aim At The Los Angeles Lakers: “I Want To Knock Them Out The Playoffs”

Chicago Bulls

After being traded by the Los Angeles Lakers and bought out by the Orlando Magic, Patrick Beverley has found his new NBA home and is now heading to his hometown team the Chicago Bulls.

Beverley played 45 games with the Lakers before getting traded. In those outings, the defensive-minded guard averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game on 40.2% shooting from the field. He started slow for the Lakers, but he did pick up his play later on.

Beverley’s former team and current team will face each other two more times this season. With this in mind, Beverley seems to be seeking revenge as he shared that he wants to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs.

“We play the Lakers twice,” Beverley said. “I want to knock them out the playoffs. We gotta get in the playoffs, so excuse us.”
