Patrick Beverley Takes Shot At Chris Paul Over Clippers’ Success: “They Didn’t Go There [West Finals] With Chris Paul, They Went There With Me”

Patrick Beverley has butted heads with a number of players throughout his career, and Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul has been one of them. The two players have had some sort of bitter history even before the NBA, and their feud has only rekindled over the past couple of years.

As a player who does not shy away from any smoke, Beverley has taken advantage of every opportunity to take a shot at CP3. After hitting the Suns point guard with a ‘too small’ taunt during their last meeting just over a week ago, Beverley now had something to say about Paul’s tenure with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Appearing on Kevin Hart’s online series “Cold as Balls”, Beverley discussed his time joining and playing with the Clippers. While doing so, the 34-year old defensive guard compared the level of team success he had with the ball club to CP3’s team success.

“Chris Paul was on the Clippers,” he said. “Then he left and I came on the Clippers. The Clippers went to the Western Conference Finals the only time. They didn’t go there with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Lob City. They went there with me.

“For them to come in and ‘We’re only looking for you get 5 or 6 million dollars,’ I felt like that was the ultimate spit to my face when I literally just changed this whole organization around, we went to Western Conference finals. I didn’t think I got the fair end of the stick.”
