Patrick Beverley Talks About ‘Too Small’ Taunt At LeBron James: “It’s All About Having Fun”

Sunday’s contest between the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers was supposed to showcase the return of four-time NBA champion LeBron James, but Bulls guard Patrick Beverley and the rest of the squad were eager to spoil the party, ultimately beating the Lakers 118-108.

Beverley played his part in the win, finishing with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists on 57.1% shooting from the field. His antics were also on full display against the Lakers, with Beverley even going viral for making a ‘too small’ taunt at LeBron.

Beverley has always been known for his antics, trash-talking skills and occasional hilarious interviews. After the game, the former Lakers guard spoke openly about his taunt at his former teammate and made it clear that he was just having fun.

Per LA Times:

“I do it to everybody,” Beverley said. “I was just having fun, getting lost in the game. Just getting lost in the game, having fun, man. We’re not construction workers. We’re not guys that have to get up at 4 o’clock in the morning. We’re professional basketball players. It’s all about having fun. That’s what we tried to do tonight, well, what I tried to do tonight.”
