Lonzo Ball hasn’t played basketball since January of 2020 due to a knee injury, but he surely left a lasting impression enough for Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George to still be highly complimentary of him.

It remains to be seen whether Lonzo can return to action and play like his usual self, but before his injury, the 24-year old point guard was averaging 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game on 42.3% shooting from the field and 42.3% from three-point line in 35 games with the Chicago Bulls.

His stats may not be eye-popping, but his ability to become a floor general and defensive stalwart were definitely easy to see. Lonzo’s impact was also tremendous as the Bulls sustained a record of 22-13 in 35 games that he played.

George knows what Lonzo is capable of bringing to the table. In a recent episode of “Podcast P with Paul George”, the 32-year old Clippers forward now named Lonzo as the most talented point guard in the NBA.

“Actually, I would say Lonzo [has] more pure talent than LaMelo,” George said. “What can’t Lonzo do? He can guard, can shoot, can play make, his IQ, he can rebound great for his position.”
