Ray Allen wants return to extend his 3-point lead over Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry’s 3-point shooting over the last view years has simply been phenomenal. He is on pace to shatter Ray Allen’s record for most three-pointers made in no time if he continues to shoot threes on this level.

This seems to be the main reason for Ray Allen to consider an NBA comeback. Allen hasn’t played a single game for two straight seasons now, although he hasn’t officially retired. The Warriors and the Cavaliers seem to be interested in bringing Ray Allen back, to add (even more) more shooting. Allem himself though, might be eyeing a return to either the Boston Celtics or Milwaukee Bucks – the two teams he played for, for huge parts of his career.

Allen reportedly wants to create more room between himself and Stephen Curry, on the All-Time 3-Point list.

Gary Washburn (Boston Globe) said:

“Ray wants to play again. I’m sure about that, I don’t think he particularly enjoys watching Stephen Curry rain threes and challenge his record and be called the best shooter in the world. I think that bothers him. I know Ray wants to extend his all-time 3-point record.”
