Rudy Gobert Reportedly Would Love To Play With Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks Express Interest In A Potential Pairing

The Utah Jazz haven taken a step back this season and are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 46-32 record. They’ve also been dreadful as of late, losing six of their last seven games.

This season’s struggles have sparked concerns and questions regarding the team’s future, and that includes the future status of three-time Jazz All-Star Rudy Gobert.

The Jazz haven’t expressed any interest in trading their defensive anchor, but there have been speculations that Gobert hasn’t enjoyed his stay with the Jazz this year, aggravated by the fact that the 29-year old has called out his team repeatedly over the course of the season.

Gobert is doing everything he can for the Jazz and is averaging 15.3 points, 14.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game on 70.9% shooting from the field. If the Jazz decide to blow the team up and make him available for a trade, one team that would have some significant interest are the Dallas Mavericks, per ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.

“I’ve heard from, externally and internally, the Mavericks would have significant interest (in a Gobert trade),” MacMahon said. “I know well Rudy well enough to know that he would love to play with Luka.”
