Scottie Pippen Says Michael Jordan Ruined The Game Of Basketball, Calls LeBron James The Greatest Of All-Time

Scottie Pippen has been critical of Michael Jordan ever since the release of ESPN’s 10-part documentary series “The Last Dance”, and he has gone so far as to even take more shots at his former Chicago Bulls running-mate in his latest book called “Unguarded”.

Pippen had a lot of details to share about Jordan in his new memoir that seemingly puts the six-time NBA champion in a bad light. From a latest excerpt, Pippen even criticized Jordan for ruining the game of basketball and wanting everything to be done for him.

Pippen then finished his statement by drawing a comparison between Jordan and LeBron James, whom he hailed as the greatest player that the game has ever seen for apparently doing things that Jordan wasn’t fond of doing.

“I may go as far to say Mike ruined basketball,” Pippen wrote. “In the 80s on the playgrounds you’d have everyone moving the ball around — passing to help the team. That stopped in the 90s. Kids wanted to be ‘Like Mike.’ Well, Mike didn’t want to pass — didn’t want to rebound, or defend the best player. He wanted everything done for him. That’s why I always believed LeBron James was the greatest player this game has ever seen — he does everything and embodies what the game is truly about.”
