Seth Curry Declined Ayesha Curry’s Dinner Invited Before The Start Of The Western Conference Finals

With the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers playing the Western Conference Finals, for the first time in NBA history, two brothers are facing each other at this stage of the playoffs – Stephen and Seth Curry.

While this accomplishment obviously makes the whole Curry family incredibly proud, it also leads to some tension.

Before Game 1 of the series started, Seth Curry was invited to a family dinner by his sister-in-law, Ayesha Curry. But Seth was not in the mood and respectfully declined. He told The Athletic:

“He received a text message from his sister-in-law, Ayesha Curry, asking if he wanted to come by for some last-minute bread breaking before their unprecedented basketball battle … with his family members enjoying each other’s company at Steph and Ayesha’s home, the 28-year-old Seth stayed sequestered with his teammates in San Francisco. It was a normal routine for me (on Monday), man,” Seth said. “I was just with the team, preparing for the game. Everybody was at Steph’s house, and I’m in San Francisco. Nah, I’m not in the mood (for a family get-together). I’m definitely not in the mood. …I respectfully declined.”
