Shannon Sharpe Takes Jab At Ja Morant: “No One Looks At You And Thinks You’re Hood”

Former NFL superstar and current NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe doesn’t seem finished taking aim at the Memphis Grizzlies following his previous altercation with the team during their game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This time, Sharpe now called out Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant.
Morant is one of most polarizing figures in the NBA, and his gestures and words are often hard to ignore. His level of play isn’t to be questioned, but the way he sells himself like a big hood guy who lived in the toughest neighborhood doesn’t sit well with a number of basketball pundits.
Appearing on “Undisputed”, Sharpe now blasted Morant for pretending to be something he’s not and criticized the 23-year old for associating himself with a certain type of group after it was reported that Morant’s entourage allegedly trained a red laser on members of Indiana Pacers’ traveling party.
“I wish Ja would realize he’s not a thug. You’re not about that life! No one looks at you and thinks you’re hood. Stop pretending.”
“For some reason he wants to surround himself with these type of people. Bruh, you’re not hard. This is not your life. You got a $200 million contract and you want people in the NBA to think you hood, to think you gangster.”
