Shaquille O’Neal Roasts Kevin Durant During Twitter Exchange

Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors share a brief history together, as the 33-year old superstar was once a part of the team and helped them win two titles in his three-year tenure before going to the Brooklyn Nets.

So after the Warriors won the 2022 NBA Finals, Durant’s legacy became a topic of discussion, and one personality who offered his two cents on the conversation was NBA Hall of Famer and TV analyst Charles Barkley.

Durant is a two-time Finals MVP, but Barkley believes that Durant wasn’t the main guy during his two championship years in Golden State and mentioned that the Brooklyn superstar has to win a championship as the bus driver before getting the respect he deserves.

Now, Barkley’s TNT colleague and friend, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal continued the feud with Durant.

The exchange was held on Twitter and began with Durant’s quote tweet about O’Neal not knowing Rui Hachimura, who was recently acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers in a trade with the Washington Wizards.

“If you ain’t a top 10 player, I don’t know who you are,” Shaq said on “Inside the NBA.” “I’m not watching the Bullets or the Wizards.”

Durant responded: “Shaquille doesn’t know ball?”

This led to Shaq going back at Durant, using Charles Barkley’s bus driver analogy.

“i don’t kno ball, but i kno how to brush my hair, or decide to cut it when i was going bald. love always THE BUS DRIVER,” O’Neal responded to a tweet by Durant’s company Boardroom.

Durant took the L and accepted his defeat, likely not wanting to go to a twitter war with Big Diesel.
