Stephen Jackson Calls Out Giannis Antetokounmpo, Says The Milwaukee Bucks Are A Super Team

Down 0-2 in the NBA Finals, the Milwaukee Bucks suddenly picked up steam and battled back down to beat the Phoenix Suns in 6 games to win their first NBA championship in 50 years. Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable throughout the series. He dropped 50 points in Game 6 and was later crowned as this year’s Finals MVP.

After the hard-fought series, Giannis had every media outlet buzzing when he took the opportunity to put the ‘super teams’ on notice, saying that he could’ve joined a super team and win a championship, but he chose to stay and take the harder path instead.

Almost every basketball fan felt Giannis was right except for former NBA journeyman Stephen Jackson who took issue with Giannis’ statement. Jackson appeared on ‘First Things First’ and went on to speak at length about how the 26-year old Bucks superstar is actually part of a super team.

“Giannis is on a Superteam. The Bucks have Jrue Holiday and a closer in Khris Middleton. … You have a Superteam — you might not have super names, but don’t diminish your teammates.”
