Steve Kerr’s Growing Health Concerns is Something to Worry About as He’ll Miss the Rest of the First Round

The Golden State Warriors are no longer concerned with the health of star forward Kevin Durant as he’ll likely be back for Game 4, but head coach Steve Kerr’s.

Kerr—who hasn’t felt well all series, according to team officials—was held out of Golden State’s 119-113 Game 3 victory over Portland due to “illness.” Kerr will be held out for the remainder of the series.

Usually, the vague “illness” ruling to hold a player or coach, in this case, out of game is because doctors aren’t sure what is wrong.

The 51-year-old Kerr was in excruciating pain and was unable to walk early Saturday, and was ruled out. Continuous tests and doctor examinations will be held to try to figure out what’s wrong with him.

In his place, lead assistant coach and former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown will take over. Brown has years of head coach experience and was the NBA Coach of the Year in 2009 with Cleveland.
