The Atlanta Hawks Are The Biggest Threat To Pry Jaylen Brown From The Boston Celtics, Eastern Conference Executive Suggests

The overlong Kevin Durant sweepstakes abruptly came to an end last week, which consequently closed the door for the Boston Celtics to send out two-way star Jaylen Brown, who was placed as the centerpiece of the trade talks.

While Brown is expected for the Celtics this time around, the future remains uncertain for the 25-year old Celtics star. After seeing his name pop in trade rumors over the past two months, it comes as no surprise that speculations point out that Brown might want out of Boston when his contract expires in 2024.

Now, according to one Eastern Conference executive who spoke to Sean Deveney of Heavy.com, the Atlanta Hawks, Brown’s hometown team, could emerge as the biggest threat to pry the 25-year old swingman out of Boston.

“They’ve been after more two-way players in recent years, because signing up a few big names around Trae Young has not worked out. We’ll have to see what they do with (De’Andre) Hunter and (Onyeka) Okongwu because they will need extensions but if they can clear out the room, that’s probably the biggest team to worry the Celtics,” an Eastern Conference executive told Deveney.”
