The Epic Hidden Meaning Behind The Cavaliers’ Ugly City Edition Jerseys
Ever since Nike took over from Adidas, NBA teams have more special edition jerseys again. Especially the teams’ ‘City Edition Jerseys’ have become pretty popular in recent years.
While the jerseys are meant to relate to the community of each squad with color schemes and logos, some turn out better than others.
Many of this year’s City Edition Uniform have received plenty of praise from NBA fans, but the Cleveland Cavaliers’ new jersey has left fans puzzled.

Turns out that the jerseys contain a pretty epic hidden message. Since the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, the “Cleveland” text is comprised of iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band wordmarks.
C – Cleveland Cavaliers
L – Sex Pistols
E – The Who
V – David Bowie
E – Metallica
L – The Beatles
A – Nirvana
N – NWA
D – Pink Floyd
The Cavs' 2020 City jersey has leaked and it pays homage to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The wordmark appears to reference 8 famous bands' logos, six of which I was able to approximate or guess correctly. What do you think of the design? Can you identify the remaining letters? pic.twitter.com/CbjAOxtI6y
