The Golden State Warriors Kept Their ‘Championship Whenever Kendrick Lamar Drops An Album’ Streak Alive

2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022 – Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have won title number four and can now officially call themselves a dynasty (which they already could have before).

With the Golden State Warriors edging out the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals, the Warriors are back on top after four years, just like they’ve always said.

More so, the Warriors became the first team in NBA history to go from worst record in the league to NBA Champion within two years, and it could only be the start of another great run.

By winning the title, the Dubs also kept one of the weirdest, yet funniest streaks alive – we’ve reported about this before the Finals already.

Whenever Kendrick Lamar releases a new album, the Warriors win the NBA Championship:

In 2015, Kendrick Lamar released ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ in March, the Warriors were champions in June. In April 2017, Lamar dropped ‘DAMN’, later that June… a Warriors championship. 2018? Lamar released the Black Panther soundtrack in February – the Warriors went for title No.3. This year, after a three-year long hiatus, Kendrick came back with ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’ in May, and the Warriors also came back with title numero four…

What a streak!
