Two American Pro-Ballers Stabbed In Romanian Nightclub

This past weekend, two Amercian pro-ballers were stabbed in a nightclub in Romania.

Darrell Bowie (former Iowa State player) and Joseph McClain both play for local club ACS Cuza Braila and were attacked Saturday night after a fight broke out with locals.

Both players underwent emergency surgery at the hospital. While McClain is stable, Bowie is in critical condition having suffered multiple abdominal wounds and internal bleeding.

Braila County Emergency Hospital spokeswoman Alina Neacsu told The Associated Press that Bowie was transported to a hospital in Romania’s capital, Bucharest.

“We are a small hospital and it was better for him to be transferred,” Neacsu said, adding that his condition is “unpredictable.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with the two and their families. We hope they’ll have a quick recovery.
