Tyler Herro Believes He’s In The ‘Same Conversation’ As Luka Doncic, Trae Young And Ja Morant

Tyler Herro became very much a familiar name after putting up a sensational playoff run in the NBA Bubble last year. He has been known for his offensive traits, showcasing his ability to create off the dribble and knock down shots from the three-point line. 

In two seasons, Herro has been averaging 14.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game on 43.4% shooting from the field. He’s just 21 years old and definitely has a long career ahead of him. Following an embarrassing individual performance and first-round exit Herro though has to bounce back this year, not least to show the Miami Heat that they should not be worried that his subpar performances go hand in hand with his emerging off-court celebrity status.

One thing that is for certain though, Herro’s got all the confidence in the world to bounce back – some would say too much confidence even. The young guard now made a bold statement about how he feels he’s in the same conversation as Luka Doncic, Trae Young and Ja Morant, some of the biggest rising stars in the league.

“I feel like I’m in the same conversation as those guys, the young guys coming up in the league who can be All-Stars, superstars one day. Luka [Doncic], Trae [Young], Ja [Morant], those guys like that. I feel like my name should be in that category too.”
