Vanessa Bryant In Tears As lawyer Accuses Deputies Of Sharing Crash Scene Photos ‘For A Laugh’, During Trials’ Opening Arguments

On Sunday, January 26, 2020, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna were among the nine people on board the helicopter that crashed and left no survivors in Calabasas, California.

While this already is the most heartbreaking thing that can happen to a mother and wife, Vanessa Bryant additionally had to live “in fear” of photos of the tragedy going viral.

Back then, photos of the crash were shared by county fire and sheriff’s department employees, which resulted in a lawsuit over Vanessa Bryant’s invasion of privacy.

Bryant’s trial against Los Angeles County started yesterday and her attorney accused Los Angeles County officials of exploiting Kobe’s death by sharing photos of the crash “for a laugh” in the opening arguments.

Vanessa Bryant was in emotional distress and had to wipe away tears as her attorney made his case.

“January 26, 2020 was the worst day of Vanessa Bryant’s life,” Li said in a Los Angeles U.S. District Court room. “The county made it much worse. They poured salt in an open wound and rubbed it in. …

“They were shared by deputies playing video games. They were shared repeatedly with people who had absolutely no reason to receive them.”
