Warriors Owner Joe Lacob ‘Promised’ Draymond Green A ‘Statue’ After Re-Signing

A couple of weeks ago, Draymond Green signed a four-year, $100 million max contract extension with the Golden State Warriors.

While this certainly is a lot of money, and enough for various lives, he could have earned a lot more somewhere else.

But Draymond chose to stay with his team, the Golden State Warriors, and apparently will be rewarded for it.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob has basically promised Green a statue honoring his achievements.

Per NBC Sports:

“When Draymond signed his extension this summer, he called me to say thank you,” Lacob told the “With Authority” podcast. “And before he could say anything else, I said ‘I only have one word to say to you’ and there was a long pause.”

“And he said ‘What’s that?’ Statue.”
