Worth The Wait: Kyle Korver And David West’s Most Important Series Of Their Career

The series between the Warriors and Cavaliers marks the first time in NBA history that the same teams are meeting in The Finals for the third consecutive season. But these year’s Finals are also unknown territory for two former All-Stars.

Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kyle Korver and Golden State Warriors’ David West. Both are 36-years old, both are former All-Stars, both are being known as great teammates, and both were non-lottery gems from the famous 2003 NBA Draft, which, amog others, produced LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh.

They have another thing in common now: Both will be playing the NBA Finals for the first time in their careers. Both in their first season with their ‘new’ teams. Kyle Korver and David West could both become x-factors off the bench for their teams. Korver with his insanly accurate three-point shooting (Kyle Korver is tied for fifth all time in three-pointers made in the regular season), and David West as an extremely physical hustle player, who doesn’t mind doing the ‘dirty work’.

Among all active players, only Utah’s Joe Johnson with his 112 playoff games, has played in more postseason games without appearing in a Finals game than Korver, who has played 104 and West, who has played 95.
